Hebron Leading Ladies
Hebron Leading Ladies, headed by Rev. Lola, is a division of Canopy Ministries UK that is led by her husband and Senior Pastor, Rev. Paul Gordon. They are both ordained under Paul Thornton Ministries Int. at "The Brook" in Atlanta, under the leadership of the senior ministers, Apostle Paul Thornton and his wife Apostle Ida Thornton. Both Rev. Paul & Lola Gordon are considered a son and daughter of PTMI. Paul Thornton Ministries Int. (PTMI), oversee churches and ministries in the USA and around the world. They understand that the church has important leadership facets as outlined in, Ephesians 4:11-12 - And He Himself gave some to be Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, some Pastors and Teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry. Apostle Paul Thornton believes that for ministers and leaders to be effective in their calling, they themselves must be equipped, empowered, healed, trained, covered, and encouraged. Paul Thornton Ministries International is called to properly position, support and accredit leaders so they can fulfil their God-given purpose and destiny within the church and around the world. Meaning Of The Word, "Hebron":
Hebrew comes from “HABAR” which means association, company, a joint connection, colleague, friend or alliance. Place of Refuge, Place of Alliance, to be united, to be joined. Ex 26:10 said, joined as curtain loops, symbolic for place of prayer and unity. Hebron is found about forty times in the Old Testament. It was the favourite home of Abraham, he pitched his tent under the oaks of Mamre, the which name it came to be know afterwards; and Sarah his wife died there, and was buried in the cave of Machpelah (Genesis 23:17-20), which he bought from Ephron the Hittite. From this place the patriarch departed for Egypt by way of Beersheba. |
Hebron was taken by Joshua and given to Caleb (Joshua 10:36 Joshua 10:37; 12:10; 14:13). It became a Levitical city and a city of refuge (Joshua 20:7; 21:11). When David became king of Judah, Hebron was his royal residence, and he resided in Hebron by the instruction of the Lord for seven and a half years (2 Samuel 5:5); and here he was anointed as king over all Israel. (2 Samuel 2:1-4; 2 Samuel 2:11; 1 Kings 2:11).
HEBRON LEADING LADIES AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Hebron leading ladies aims and objectives focuses on helping to supporting leaders through challenges and situations that often hinder them from becoming the best that they can be. Hebron aims to be a support for leading women in faith communities, clubs, businesses and organisations.
Hebron empowers leading ladies by equipping them within a safe, confidential, prayerful and welcoming environment. This environment provides an enjoyable, interactive place for them to meet others, while giving Biblical engagement and collaborative networking.
Hebron’s core message is firmly rooted in fundamental biblical values and principles. The many training and teaching seminars, counselling opportunities and open communication aids emotional, mental and spiritual growth so ladies can be encouraged to become whole individuals. We hope ladies leave these conferences with the tools necessary to contribute effectively in transforming their families, churches, local community and their world.

VISION STATEMENT
Hebron Leading Ladies is a ministry to Female leaders in the community, Pastors & Pastors' wives.
In 2010 I had a overwhelming prompting in my heart from Lord to set up a forum for leading pastoral ladies. This forum would be one that would bring healing in a supportive and building environment.
Hebron was launched in 2011. This was, however, after struggling with the Lord, feeling that I was not the best choice. I eventually started with three ladies including myself. The Lord then instructed me through my husband, Pastor Paul Gordon to, “…get up and get on with what God has called you to do…” This was also confirmed by the Lord through a scripture in Joshua 14:6–15. It said, Joshua blessed Caleb and gave Hebron to him as an inheritance, because he wholeheartedly followed the Lord.
Women leaders are on the front line daily building, encouraging, empowering and equipping the church, community, businesses as well as many other commitments. They themselves also need to be built, encouraged, empowered, equipped and prayed for. Leading Ladies often face their challenges alone with no one to confide in.
Hebron is here to help connect leading ladies, to stand with and provide a place of refuge for them to come and share their hearts with each other, being on the same page, and helping to gain understanding in a compassionate, confidential and spiritual atmosphere.
Leading ladies are influencers, but the question is often asked, ‘who positively influences them?’ They are listening to others, encouraging and enabling them, but who listens to them? They are often misunderstood, under-appreciated. People regularly affirm that they are special but leading ladies feel they are not really treated as such in many cases.
As leading ladies, if we ourselves are not poured into or restored we may not fully be unable to totally pour into the lives of our communities and be that place of rest. No one is perfect; we are all a work in progress, so let us show God’s love towards one another first, then spread it out to our world.
We are not alone; we are uniquely designed by God to fulfil our purpose, together.
Yours for Kingdom Advancement.
